Where It All Began
It was 2006 when two friends, Steven and Robert, fell in love with authentic Mexican street food during a backpacking trip through the colorful markets of Mexico City. The vibrant flavors, the fresh ingredients, and the passion of local vendors ignited something special within them.
Returning to Australia, they couldn't find anything that captured that same authentic experience. So they decided to create it themselves. Starting with a small food truck in Sydney, they began serving fresh, made-to-order Mexican favorites using traditional recipes and the finest ingredients.
Today, Guzman y Gomez has grown into Australia's most beloved Mexican food chain, but our commitment remains unchanged: serving authentic, fresh, and delicious Mexican food that brings people together, one meal at a time.
